So take a look at me now...

It's the week-eeeeeeend! :D

Let's start it with a sexy rock song..

Stereophonics - Dakota

Welcome home

Radical Face - Welcome home

Such a beautiful song and such a lame way of discovering it: I have heard it in a tv commercial (no, not for Ikea)..damn you ubiquitous advertising people...

Ey, talking about Ikea and advertising:

isn't it so cuuuute?!
(yeah, im a girl and a cat-lover, i admit that otherwise it doesn't work that well..)

Hot Hot

Because we're only half-way to the week-end..
Because some beats would be nice to keep us awake and happy-happy :)
Oh, and because it's summer! at least we're hoping..

Soundtrack from the movie Unmade Beds: Hot Monket, Hot Ass - remix, from Black Moustache.
With a title and a group name like that, it just cannot be bad... ^^

Caaan you feel the beat, hot monkeeey?!!

Total Life Forever!

Hello happy people! Here is one reason to feel even more happy:

Foals second album "Total Life Forever" is ouuuuuUUUuut! :D since 10th May for Frenchies..

For the poor souls wandering Foalsless, the doctor recommends listening to old Olympic Airways...
(my favourite track from their first album "Antidotes", even tho it's hard to pick just one. of course i should have chosen a freshly released single, but to enjoy the future, let's remember the past ^^)

And because now you all want to hear their past and coming songs, here is the direction:

Watching Paris with Wide Eyes

So here I am, back again in sweet big Paris. for work.

First week of my internship has got me a bit tired. mainly because I am addicted to sleep and waking up at 8am for working 8hrs is not easy for an organism constantly in hibernation.

To keep up with my tradition of sleeping in during week-ends, I just woke up today at 1pm 0:)
Sun is shining outside, trees are in their summer mood, I'm listening to the Local Natives - Wide Eyes.

Everything is going to be just fine...

RJD2 takes you to the stars

Week-end = Chilliiiiiiiiiiiiiing out! :D

Because the best part of a busy week is when at the end you look back at all you've done, you smile, and get back to your nap.

Colorful Music - Part 2

As promised, Ebony Bones!

The first time I saw her and her band was at a free concert this summer in Paris in front of the Hotel de Ville.

Seeing is the right term. First you see the rainbow then you hear it.
Ebony mixes sounds and rythmes in a dynamic mess to dance away your worries.

You will quite understand why I have to mention her if I tell you that she was performing during JC De Castelbajac fashion show, Pirates and Parrots, at the last Paris Fashion Week.

This participative video clip is brillant.
It perfectly represents the best 2010 has to offer. Globalization of creativity, sharing of passion and music. .

ps: if one of you got the number of her guitarist, the Indian, your price is my price..

Colorful Music - Part 1

Sliimy is Pop, Sliimy is Funky.
French Mika-look-alike singer and musician, Sliimy's got a terrific style.
Refreshing to listen to and to look at, with a nice pop/graphic/colorful/stylish video that caught my attention.

Hey, I know that watch!

Be a star!

The song I've heard and instantly liked during this holidays. Indeed, you cannot come back from holidays without a song.

Oh No Oh My - Be a star

Not from me, from youtube ^^

http://www.myspace.com/ohnoohmyband

Might be interesting to tell you where I've heard it: it's from the closing credits of The September Issue, documentary directed by RJ Cutler on Anna Wintour, high priestess of US Vogue magazine.

A complete submersion in the world of fashion.

I know it's impossible for a simple being like me to judge but I must admit that I was so annoyed by her manners...I love talent. But better when it comes with modesty and levity.

One more from Oh No Oh My? Oh Yes Oh My:

Solar music

Alright, one more post before bed:

Some music to chill and make sweet dreams: Fenech Soler - The Cult of Romance (Alan Braxe remix)

'Lies' is also a really good one, but it's more a morning song because then you have to shake your head, and it wakes you up.. And clearly, at 3:30am, it's oviously too late, or to early to wake up..

http://www.myspace.com/fenechsoler

Btw, thanks to Alex for letting me know that band, pretty indirectly because it was with a facebook comment, not at all concerning me (what would I be without fbk...). If you need good music, just ask Alex.K.

I'm too sexy for this blog

Because Music can also be so kitsch!

This is too good to be true:

Chinese Man Records

Hier à Nantes, concert de CHINESE MAN.

La deuxième: Skank in the air, course rythmée de nos 3compères à travers l'Asie

Enjoy!
